“Even the smallest spark can light the darkest wood. Never doubt the strength you carry, young Wizard—for the Spiral grows brighter with you in it.”
Bartillery is a powerful, ancient being in Wizard101, serving as the World Tree in Ravenwood School of Magical Arts. A wise and cryptic guardian of the Spiral, Bartillery holds the secrets of the First World and maintains balance across the realms.
History
Bartillery was planted in the First World by Grandmother Raven and Grandfather Spider. When the First World was sundered, Bartillery held onto the fragments with his deep roots, helping to form what is now known as the Spiral. His connection to each world allows him to monitor the flow of magic and maintain the balance between realms.
At the heart of Bartillery lies the Eye of History, a powerful artifact given to him by Grandmother Raven. This eye allows him to see across time and space. At one point in the main story, the Eye is stolen, severely weakening Bartillery and endangering the Spiral's stability.
Personality
Bartillery is wise, calm, and compassionate. He carries the weight of ages in his voice and often speaks with gentle reassurance. Despite the burden he bears, he has a dry sense of humor and cares deeply for the students and faculty of Ravenwood.
Appearance
Bartillery appears as a massive, ancient tree with a hollow entrance at his base. His branches tower above the Ravenwood campus, and his face is carved into the bark near the top of his trunk. His eyes glow softly with magic when he speaks, and his bark shifts slightly as though breathing.
Trivia
