Billions of years before the Imperial Era, mineral matter that would infuse rock walls on the planet Ilum with valuable constituents, including rare crystals such as the Force-attuned kyber, begin to accumulate.

The long lived Exogorth species comes into existance. Over one billion years before the Imperial Era, the Exogorth Sy-O is born to Sy-O's father-and-mother. However, at even one billion, Sy-O would be considered young by Exogorth standards.

Billions to millions of years before the Imperial Era, lava flows on Dagobah and forms Mount Dagger before disappearing to allow for the flourishing of non-sentient life.

A non-sentient species lives on the world of Bravais, eventually evolving into the sentient Bravaisian.

A non-sentient species lives on the planet Crul millions of years before they evolve into the sentient Crolute.

A primitive species lives on the planet Abednedo, eventually evolving into the sentient Abednedo.

In ancient times, beings from a distant galaxy built a reflex point on the planet Seatos which pointed the way to the extragalactic planet Peridea. The people become known as the Dathomiri.

A star map pointing the way to Peridea's galaxy was also stored inside a Nightsisters' Temple on Arcana.

100,000 BBY

• Beginning of the construction of the first city levels of Coruscant in the Core Worlds.

57,000 BBY

• Utapau is settled by colonists who eventually evolve into the Pau'an and Utai species.

Pre-hyperspace travel

• Batuu, a planet on the edge of the Outer Rim Territories, is colonized millennia after a great cataclysm resulted in the planet's giant trees being destroyed and eventually petrified.[16]

• A sentient ancestral species invents the hyperdrive after studying the hyperspace-traveling purrgil, opening up the galaxy for exploration.

Post-hyperspace travel

• c. 30,000 BBY

  • Devaronians, naturally adept as scouts, become active as galactic explorers from their native planet Devaron, independently developing the hyperdrive.

  • The Outer Rim planet Benetage is abandoned.

• c. 27,000 BBY

  • Felucia is colonized by Gossam Courivers.

  • By this point, human civilization had developed on Empress Teta in the Deep Core.
